Why there are four spellings
JIKONG is the romanised manufacturer name and JKBMS is the product brand, so both appear on the same board. The hyphen in JK-BMS and the space in JK BMS come from how sellers type it and how search engines split the token. None of the four distinguishes any hardware.
What the search was standing in for
Almost every visit that arrives on a brand-name query is really after one of five things. Naming the artefact turns an unanswerable brand question into a lookup.
- A replacement for a board already installed -- go to the model index and match the code
- A settings screen that does not match a screenshot -- that is a firmware question, not a naming one
- A cable that fits the inverter -- decided by protocol and pinout, never by brand
- A manual -- filed by model family, and identical whichever spelling was searched
- A first purchase with nothing installed yet -- start from the pack, not the brand
The one place spelling does matter
Firmware images, app builds and release notes are published against the family name rather than the brand token, so searching JK-BD or JK-PB finds material that searching JKBMS buries. Use the family segment of the code as the search term whenever the target is a document rather than a product.
Where JKESS fits
JKESS names the battery enclosure and energy-storage hardware rather than the BMS boards: rack and caster kits, high-voltage control hardware and configured cabinets. A pack usually contains both brands, and they are selected against different constraints -- the enclosure against the cells, the BMS against the load and the inverter.
Questions this raises most often
No. JKBMS, JK BMS, JK-BMS and JIKONG BMS are spellings of the same product line, and none of them identifies a specific board.
Search the family segment of the model code, such as JK-BD or JK-PB. Documents are filed by family, and the brand token returns product listings instead.
No. JKBMS names the BMS boards and accessories; JKESS names the enclosure and energy-storage hardware. A finished pack normally uses both.
The model code segments: family, balance current, supported series range and continuous current, plus the fitted communication ports.
Take it to a part number
Ratings vary between codes that read almost the same, so settle the decision here and then confirm the figures on the product page for the exact code.
